Anyone know if 589 end pieces will fit a 792X0P Tudor Chrono?
I know that it should be 605 end pieces, but what about 589 end pieces?
Anyone know? Best, A |

If your bracelet is a 78360 according to the material I have 589 flushfits are correct Tudor fitments to that bracelet.

Any Oyster; Tudor 78360, 78400, 78500 or Rolex 78360, 93150 will fit a Tudor Chrono and according to Tudor themself I need a 605 end piece, but since I know 589s fit older bigblock chronos I need to know if those are good on my new non-bigblock too. This is what my watch look like with a Rolex 93150 with 558 end pieces - that are obviously too small (check out the obvious gap below the bezel): If I can use either 589s or 605s it would give me a broader base for my search. Tudor Oyster bands are out of production, and not possible to order from any AD - I am trying to get hold of 605s as parts since an Oyster bracelet is easier to find. Best, A |

As you know 605's are what you need and Rolex make these changes for a reason.....589's might do the job of holding the bracelet on as well but you run the risk of scoring away the model and serial numbers through time.
If possible I always try to get the correct ref because thats what they were made for.

Thanks. Yes, I agree - and am trying to find 605s (but was hoping that 589s would do the job - without damaging the case...) BTW the watch is back on its standard bracelet, and the oyster bracelet is back on the Explorer where it belongs. I just tried out the look and feel... and liked it! Best, A |

Thanks, I have asked my local ADs to supply me with end pieces only, but no other reply yet than that the oyster 78400 is out of production... Hopefully they can source the end pieces only, but I do not mind getting them elsewhere.

Since I started this thread I have learnt that the only difference between the 589 and 605 end links is the diameter for the lug pins. The 589 goes with 2 mm diam lug pins, and the 605 with 1.8 mm lug pins. Therefore the 589 could work with the 792X0-series, but the fit will not be optimal, and there is a risk of the end link moving and rubbing against the case. Also, 2 mm lug pins have ends that are 1.2 mm that goes into the case, whilst the 1.8 mm pins have ends that are 0.9 mm, so you can not use the bigger pins to compensate the lack of optimal fit. The 605s are still a spare part possible to order from Rolex/Tudor. Or you could advertise, post a WTB, as I did. I found a friend on the net that helped me source brand new 605s. Good luck in your search! Best, A |

was one of the best looking ones here on TRF. Could you share a pic or two of it on the standard bracelet? |

Here are all the configurations my chrono has been through: It came like this, two years ago, just before I originally started this thread: I immediately wanted it on Oyster, so I tried it out with some of the end links I had at home, with a 93150 bracelet: The fit of the end links are lousy... and I didn't like the combination of the all brushed end links/bracelet, so I did some serious photoshopping (I learnt a lot about PS at that time): I liked this, so I started to hunt for proper end links which took me a couple of weeks. I polished the center part of them, and added an Oyster bracelet from a Rolex Daytona 16520: This is a good looking watch, and I used it like that for a while, but couldn't forget the first impressions of the Tudor bracelet. The original bracelet comes with solid end links, although the look like the old style pressed steel sheet, and the fit is absolutely amazing, not forgetting the feeling. So the watch went back to its original state: This is how the watch have looked like for a year and a half, but on and off I have been eyeing PanosI's chrono (that is only a few numbers from mine), and his is with the "panda dial". This is what I originally wanted, but it was not available when I got my chrono. I bought the watch basically on impulse. Supposedly it was the last BNIB at any AD in Europe. It had spent some time in the shop... but it came with the modern style plastic card certificate. So, a couple of weeks ago I talked to one of the watchmakers at one of my local ADs. He has helped me out several times, and was able to order a new dial and hand set from Geneva, so now it looks like this: The legibility is much improved, and although I much prefer non polished lugs and a brushed Oyster bracelet this is a very nice watch. Of course I am keeping the black dial, since it offers a very cool look, that I can go back to: I have spent only a fraction of the cost of a Daytona on this watch, including two dials, and two bracelets. I wear it less than 10% of the time, but given the money spent, and the quality I have been given it is by far the most fun I have had when it comes to watches! A year ago I added i vintage Tudor Submariner, and I am starting to look at Big Blocks... Rolex watches are great, Tudors are fun! I am wearing the chrono as I write this. Best, A |

Yes, that is my Tudor's brother (or sister???), for sure!
Mine is also H6817XX So they are less than a hundred numbers apart, perhaps even next to each other. What's even better: They are now identical, with same dial, hands, bezel, bracelet. Best, A |
