As soon as I get the chance I intend on trying this beauty on, but until then I have to ask the pros: How does this piece wear compared to other 44mm Luminors? Of particular interest is the domed crystal.

Any input is appreciated!

The doomed crystal is only 2mm so from an angle it looks nice but IMO it's not that noticeable. Granted I don't have a 233 yet, but i tried it on and compared to my 111 it actually felt a bit smaller, which I liked.

I would imagine that the fact that it felt a bit smaller was due to the case design as well? It almost seems like a Lum/Rad hybrid...

It is also a trick on the eyes. It LOOKS bigger on your wrist, but it isn't.

Like the SD and Sub Date faces if you know what I mean.

I think he meant "felt" smaller, but the dial makes it look big. They are the same diameter in reality, just like the SD and Sub Date analogy I was trying to make.

Looks bigger, or but wears smaller or flatter even with the crystal being domed for me. It is no more of a door magnet than any other 44mm watch I wear. Hope this helps.
