Help explaining "Open Warranty" and extending warranty.
Hi there all!
I was hoping someone would be able to explain what exactly an "Open Warranty" is, and how exactly one can extend the 2-year warranty to the 5-year warranty on an "Open Warranty" watch. I assume it is only associated with timepieces purchased from Grey-Market/Un-Authorized dealers? For example: I recently talked with a Grey-Market dealer about a ROO 26400SO (Discontinued) that is in Unworn-New condition, even has full stickers still. He claims that it was delivered in February of 2018 (J-Serial) and has the new-style card warranty. He also says the card has been activated and the watch is under the 2-year warranty, and can be registered by the purchaser to extend it to the 5-year warranty. Is this true/correct? Any and all information is much appreciated! |
