White Dial Milgauss at AD - Need to make a quick decision!
Am in the Middle East and stopped walked into a gem of a little AD. They have a white dial Milgauss still in the coffin for about $6800. I have always eyed this watch and I’m really tempted to buy it but not sure if I could do better back in the US price-wise, or if I’ll take a bath if I get bored of it - leaving in a couple hours so need to decide soon - any Milgauss wisdom appreciated!
Interestingly, the GV version is also the same price here ($6800), and they also have a red-letter sea dweller and a bunch of explorers in the case..best selection I’ve seen in a while..will try snap a pic when I go back. And….stickers will absolutely have to come off, even for a milgauss :-)) |

They can be easily found used for about $1500 less than that, so it’s your call. Maybe grab that Sea Dweller

Seems like a great price for NIB, but make it a keeper since there will be depreciation once worn out to the store... I would pay a small premium for a watch that I like NIB.

There's another member that just posted in another thread that he saw 2 white Milgausses at his local AD. Seems like it wouldn't be too tough to find one in the states?

I haven't been following the Milgauss model but according to the Rolex website, MSRP is $8200USD. If the one at the AD in the Middle East is $6800USD, isn't that a great deal?

White dial is discontinued I believe, but would have been the same MSRP as the Z-Blue and Black?

Taking a quick look online, it appears that Bobswatches has a pre-owned one for $6500. On Chrono24, white dial prices run from around $6000 to over $8000. I suspect all of those are pre-owned as well. The lowest one on Chrono24 is at $5493.00, pre-owned and doesn't look like it comes with the original box. Link below. This new one in the coffin for $6800 is sounding better and better!

Remember, the white dial did not have green crystal. That's why it was lower MSRP at $7650 vs $8200 for green crystal

Interestingly they are both the same price here. I guess that would make the GV better value at $6800. I decided not to pull the trigger - went to another AD (within walking distance) and they had 2 white dials also, so no scarcity and I can have a friend pick it up once I’ve thought it through. 2nd AD also had an SD43, a deep sea and white Sky Dweller in the case. No subs, hulks, Pepsi’s etc but not as much of a stainless famine as US/Europe. PM gets a lot of love here I suppose!

Was at an AD today, they had a white Milgauss in the case.
Even though discontinued they are apparently not hard to get new. But a great watch for sure. |

I went to two ADs in LA and one had the white and the other the black. Not hard to find, I would pick up a blue one if I saw it.
