Bark on the plane. Pics.

Narita to LAX the guy sitting next to me on JAL had on a gorgeous YG bark dial Day Date. We were already yucking it up having a few beers when I said “Love your watch.”

He said, “Thanks, bark presidential.” He said he traded in his submariner for it.

Good times.

Nice watch. I remember threads popping up in the past about talking to strangers about their watches and everyone was up in arms about how this is a no-no....
Goes to show when you are sincere, personable and a gentleman, these types of cool things happen.

I’ve never understood those posts. I’ve commented on a few people’s watches and had nothing but positive chat. Last guy I saw with a Seiko Pogue I ended up servicing it for him (and 3 other Seiko’s since)

There were 5 "support" dogs on my last (full) flight. Does that count as Bark?

When my wife asked for peanuts instead of pretzels, the flight attendant told her they don't carry peanuts anymore because of allergies. I perked up and stated that my wife is allergic to dogs. When will you stop carrying those?

I understand the service dogs, but I'm having a hard time with these "support" animals.

Wow, I got off topic.

Back to Bark!

I'm a big fan of the Bark! The contrast in person really looks good.

I know what you mean...it shimmers in only a way bark can. Tough to capture in photos.

I used to love when they did them with wood dials.

Great piece!!!! I was expecting to see a dog (not really). Fun story too!!! I also might mention that the last time I barked on a plane I got pretty poor service for the remainder of the flight.

Don’t worry, these emotional support animals riding on long haul flights are coming to an end soon enough. Probably longer then 3 hours - no more support peacocks

Nice Bark though, many of the mob guys wore these back when I was school. Amazing to look at close up as a first introduction of Rolex
