............with the 44mm pushers and closed case back:

1. It will be $28K (U.S. dollars)
2. Will NOT be a limited edition piece
3. Closed case back-- as most already know

My concern/confusion is the following:
Why does this watch having the F.Piguet movement from the ROC as opposed to the 3126 with the open case from all other ROOC? Does the closed case back offer better anti-magnetic protection, and they want this ROO to be a bit more rugged??
When will the new chrono movement make its way into the ROC and ROO lines?

Since it's not limited run, I can see this watch taking a huge hit with this movement in place, once the new movement gets placed in ROC and ROO.

I'm trying to decide on the 38mm ROC and this watch -- each of course provides a very different look.

BTW-- the 38mm chrono will have the same sized bracelet as the 15450, which I was disappointed to hear (as opposed to the wider bracelet from the 15202)

I really like this watch-- the blue dial and grey sub dials look amazing from the pics I was sent from Switzerland. But........... I'm worried about this watch taking a huge beating on the secondary market once the new line comes out with the new movements.
As much as I love AP, this seems like a bit of a money grab by them to price it at $28k with a movement that is on its way out.

maybe they are trying to see if people will by a ROO with the same dial layout of the ROC (F piguet and new in house chrono) since the current ROO with modular chrono is different.

I for one like the ROC and ROO to have different dial/date layouts to further separate them.

Open case back is plenty rugged as seen in the ROO divers and many other non APs.

That was my thought too, Jim. The dial layout and closed case back makes this a ROC dial/case, but then it has other elements of a ROO and is being sold as a ROO.
It would have made more sense to make it a 41mm ROC with a rubber strap, and sell it as part of the ROC line.

As it stands, it seems like a watch with an identity crisis

I did wish that AP will do the 42mm ROO with 3,6,9 chronograph dials..and now it's a reality.
But those hands are ugly in my opinion..
Shall wait to see more dial colour combination in the future.

This is an interesting Offshore. Between being Ti, thinner than the other 42 offerings, and having the 44 style pushers it's a pretty attractive package.

Not for me....the hands look strange and I do like the round pushers more than the rectangular one.
But I appreciate that the date window is now exactly aligned between the 20 and 25 minute marker.

Nice design but colors look washed out. I like the minute scale for a change. I like the hands as well ... reminds me of the Schummy.

Personally I would not buy a new chrono now when there is a possibility that the movement will be upgraded any time soon.

i love it!
especially fitted with the F.Piguet movement which in fact is more reliable than all the ROOs 3126/3840.

Saw additional photos of it, and it is definitely slimmer than the rest of the ROOs line.
With a full titanium casing. I would assume it would be very easy on the wrist.

The only thing is the dial is slightly busy, if they were only able to make the dial and the hands slightly cleaner.

hmmm ... hard to tell by the picture. Looks about the same to me. The subdials look a little larger (and therefore closer together) maybe making the dial look a little smaller?
