Datejust 2 or Datejust 41 in Blue dial
Hi all,
Rookie to this forum. Looking to purchase a Datejust. Two options I am considering is the Datejust II model 116334 or Datejust 41 model 126334 both with blue dial, fluted Bezel and oyster Bracelet. Both watch has many of the same features, exact look but big difference is the calibre between these two watches. I am leaning more toward on Datejust 41 but the price on Datejust 2 is is too tempting, $7300 close to new. Your thoughts? |

Datejust 2 or Datejust 41 in Blue dial
I’d get the 41
Really love mine. To me the proportions of the 41 are what makes it an all around better choice. (Not that there is ANYTHING wrong with the DJII) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Don’t compromise you’ll regret it.....pay the extra and get the DJ41. The polished centre link on the oyster bracelet are scratch magnets, go for the jubilee bracelet which is only available with the DJ41.......72 hour power reserve with the DJ41 compared to the 48 DJ2....it’s a no brainer

Thank you all for your opinion
I notice the price for a new Datejust 41 online is below MSRP retail and no tax compared to the AD. Is your purchase via online or with AD. Concern about online is Trust. What's your take on this? |

I would gladly consider either, maybe you decide depending on what you like and the cost. |

I would second this exactly as stated. Love my DJ41. The proportions are just right. I’m glad I waited a few years for it to come out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I prefer the II but if you don't care one way or the other about the differences in case size you might as well go with the 41 for the new movement.
A lot depends on wrist size. If you have a larger wrist you may find the II fits you better, smaller wrists probably better with the 41. Both are fantastic watches. Go with what you like best on your wrist. |

I’ll differ and recommend the DJII.
Sportier and more versatile. Looks like a fancy sports watch and goes with everything. I personally prefer the more robust look and dimensions. As for accuracy mine is less than +1 second a day and the power reserve is more than adequate. |

Keep in mind if you get the non fluted bezel you can save up to 2,000 over the fluted bezel. You can pick up a datejust 41 new for 7,350 for oyster and 7450 jubilee retail for retail smooth bezel. A little less after market dealers. Or 2,000 more roughly for the white gold fluted. If it is going to be your daily watch I think get the jubilee to avoid the scratches all over the bracelet like the oyster will show

Not the same look. Look very closely at the bezel thickness. Once you see it, it’s very noticeable. I personally prefer the proportions of the 41 and yes the updated caliber is nice.

Depends on ur preference.
DJ2 is the sportier version with fatter index Dj41 is the dressier version with slimmer everything. I prefer DJ2 The movement inside doesn’t make a difference for me in this case. Both solid.
