Did your new Rolex come with extra links?

My new in box Explorer II 42mm (purchased from AD) did not come with any extra links.
Should it have?

Thanks

Did they have to size your watch (remove any links), at the time of purchase? If they did, then should have received the links that were removed. If it fit well, right out of the box, then the answer is “no, there are not any extra links.” If you need additional links, your AD should be able to hook you up!

Enjoy your new watch! Congratulations!

Did you get the Polar or Black dial?

How many links are on your bracelet?
It should have 13 links.
If not, then your AD owes you some.

It’s worth asking your AD if you need an extra link. Mine ordered one FOC when I picked up my Deepsea.

I've never seen a Rolex come with extra links. I always do have extra after having the watch sized. I guess clarity would be good in initiating the thread.

Mine had 14 but I have a DD, not sure if that makes a difference.

Yes it makes a difference - the Expl. II bracelet is different than a DD. DD should come with 15 links if it has a 73205, 08 or 09 bracelet.

Right. Mine came with too many links, if that's what the OP meant.

No extra link. They just give the resized link.

No Rolex comes with extra spare links in a packet. The bracelet is full length when new and if an AD has to remove any links to make it smaller those belong with the watch and should be handed over.

No I have never seen extra links with a new Rolex. To some degree they come with extra but they are attached. You would need a massive wrist to need more than the links provided. I have one friend that always needs extra links. I think his wrist is like 9"+ though.

Unfortunately if you have big wrists: I had to order extra links for my GMT Master II and Skydweller. The only one fitting from the start was my Deepsea.

I think they reduced the over excess links from earlier years, thinking there are not so many guys with an 8 inch plus wrist.

The BLRO is I think particularly small, I will need two extra Links to fit on my 8,5 inch wrist.
