116710LN Dial Variations?

Ive noticed a slight variation in the font on some LN's Ive seen - cant put my finger on exacty why but ive seen the spacial relationship between the X in Rolex and the D in date below it, can be two different variations.

it makes me wonder is there a well known history of slight dial variations in the LN, or the GMT Master II in general? In the same way that the Sub dial variations have a known history?

Thanks.

The only two I know of are the early version that glows green and the later version that glows blue. There are text differences between them. The quickest way to spot them without seeing how they glow is in the shape of the 'G' in "GMT".

Before loupe mania started mainly by the WIS looking for these very very tiny details know-one noticed these minute differences. But over the past 40 plus years there have been hundreds of tiny font changes on all the Rolex line up. That the main Joe public buying Rolex watches would not notice or even care as they just bought a Rolex watch.

Have to agree. In this case the question is if you want one that glows green or one that glows blue. The rest is inconsequential.
