Incoming!!! Deep Blue!!!
So after a 7 month wait from my AD with a $3,000 cash deposit, I finally got sick of waiting and decided to go Grey. Got an unworn DSSD 126660 Deep Blue with valid warranty card for a few hundred over what I would have eventually paid the AD with tax. In fairness the AD did tell me 6-12 month wait, but I was put off a little bit after I went in on Valentine's Day to buy my wife some earrings and was going to splurge for the next size up since I had my in store 0% line of credit from Wells Fargo and then was told, oh we cancelled the financing agreement but you should be able to still use it, and then was told I couldn't use it any longer when I went to pay. I was dealing with the manager and had previously inquired about using the card for the DSSD and was told no problem, I could use any payment method for the balance including the deposit. I ended up cancelling as the manager told me the only SS unit they had gotten in since August was a Hulk a few weeks back and seemed to have no information on any incomings. So I contacted DAVIDSW and had the watch in 2 days. I did purchase my BLNR about 2 years ago from this AD when I walked in on a whim after I came across talk of the BLNR on these forums. I think my Rolex collection is complete for the near future.

DeltaBravo,
Is yours a 116660 or a 126660? The DEEPSEA text looks more lime green colored than Rolex green, but it could just be a filter you used. The change from a lime green to the Rolex green lettering in the new, 126660 model is the only change I don’t care for... but it’s so slightly noticeable that it doesn’t matter. I like that brighter, lime green. I’ve tried on 116660s before but never a 126660. I bought mine from a dealer over the phone. I’m interested to see how much wider the 126660 feels when I get it. It’s such a tiny width incease, but I believe it’s less tappered, which gives it a wider feel overall. The 116660s felt fine to me, but they definitely feel very top heavy, compared to a Sub. I’m like a kid on Christmas Eve waiting to get it... should arrive Wednesday. |
