Fit check (ROO Diver)

Hi everyone - I'm thinking about picking up a white dial diver. Tried this on the other day for fit. What do you think about sizing?

Fit check (ROO Diver)

Do you like how it looks - and more importantly, wears - on you?

Why then bother what other people think?

Photos rarely do justice due to angles etc, so I am always puzzled when people ask this question to total strangers.

AP Diver is designed to look big, and having had one for a long time, I can also say that it works for flatter wrist profile a LOT better than rounded, no matter how large the wrist actually is. I can’t wear a diver for longer than 4-6 hours, it is just damn uncomfortable and gets in the way of everything I do - catches doors, keyboards etc., as it is also very tall. I also feel that the whole ROO design languages is quickly aging and that means stay away from paying retail on most ROO, foremost the divers.

It is still a very well build and finished watch, just not something that would stay contemporary and age nicely in 15-20 years but if you want a fun watch to bang around and don’t care about these sorts of long term considerations, why not?

you state your opinion as though it were "fact", with which I could not disagree more. While the ROO line is not for everyone, it will IMO continue to be a highly sought after luxury sports line well into the next 15-20 years.

Haha, sure. I said “I just feel like ROO language is aging” and you figured I sell it as a fact?

I tried it a couple of weeks back. It was too big for me. Too much case overhang. But I have 6.25 inch wrists.

If you 6.5 inches or bigger, you should be good to go.

Out of all the offshores, I like the Diver the most because of its slimmer profile.

Quickly aging? It is a 26 year old design that remained largely unchanged ... I think it is doing pretty well ... for an icon anyway.

I didn’t say anything to that extend, it is my opinion and opinion only, and you can suit yourself and have a ton of your opinions too, it does not bother me for one sec

Actually you did. You said why then bother with what other people think. And you said you’re puzzled when people ask this question to total strangers.

Fit check (ROO Diver)

OP - it looks good on.

Go with the watch that makes you happy - whilst perhaps not the most reserved AP (and definitely not the most out there either) it is a fantastic and highly functional watch.

I wear mine everyday and find it exceedingly comfortable.

I much prefer the rubber strap over any kind of bracelet or leather strap for day to day practicality, comfort and ability to clean quickly and easily.

* EDIT - do try on the white dial first though as I found it wore bigger than the black.

Had many Divers, but I've always flipped them due to being uncomfortable on my wrist. The backcase is the problem.
