Rolex GMT Master "Root Beer"

Can someone tell me the serial number color code for the GMT Master "root beer" version? I know the current 16710 use a, b and m for the three colors. Also what was the last year / serial number made in this color? Thanks for everyones help.

I think 2005/2006 was the last year they were produced. This is a early 1970s version.
