Diamond ring danger to crystals

DIAMOND RINGS worn by wives, girl friends..yes and even former wives....
can SCRATCH your sapphire crystals BIG TIME>

The prettier, younger and MORE ATHLETIC the significant other,
the more likely this might be to HAPPEN.:

But don't listen to your watch screech..it usually will only happen in the shower or late at night.......and the luminous dials will not be bright enough to watch it happen....

At ANY RATE-Diamonds WILL SCRATCH YOUR ROLEX !!!!!!:

My then fiance connected her enagement ring with the crystal of my DSSD.
It had a small chip in it afterward and needed to be replaced at service.
Now we are married and she is much more aware of the consequences

Other thing scratch sapphire, not just diamonds. I have scratched them on door frames, working on the car, while doing stucco etc.

Also, in case you weren’t aware, leaving your Rolex on top of your car roof and driving away will also scratch your Rolex.

Yep I scratched the crystal of my 116655 while walking..I wear watch right hand, wife had wedding ring on left hand...you can imagine

Yes I am also very aware of the danger of my wife's diamond rings scratching my watch, any part of it! I wear my watch on my left hand so I always walk alngside her on her left side. She also seems to be in the habit of buying handbags with metal studs and buckles all over them, am I being a bit OTT?

The Mohs mineral hardness scale is from 1 to 10. Talc is 1 and diamond is 10. Number 9 is the mineral corundum an aluminum oxide. The gemstone name is sapphire. Rolex uses a synthetic sapphire. A diamond is 4 times harder than sapphire (corundum) and 6 times harder than topaz which has a hardness of 8. Pure gold has a hardness of 2.5 to 3.

Not sure what you mean by "grades", but definitely in quality. In natural sapphire there are different inclusions giving them different colors. Typically they are blue.
