Your Thoughts...
I currently own the HULK and use it as my daily wear watch. My question is would getting rid of it for a TT Blue Sub, or the SD43 or even the JC Deepsea be good trade off? Or is the Hulk a keeper to never unload???

Wow, you're the one who has to wear it. Wear what you like most and not what other people tell you to.

True. As much as I like the Hulk, I can almost trade it out even for a TT Sub. It seems crazy to me that a watch I paid 9k for can be traded for one that's over 13k new.

That's a decision for only you to make since you are the one wearing the watch. Who cares what other people think.

I know the market is nuts right now and whatnot, but it will always be “no” on getting rid of this watch for me. 5 years in and I’m still nuts about it. |

Keep the hulk. It amazes me every time I wear mine how much I enjoy it. I didn’t care much for it up until the day I got it.
I suggest saving and getting a second watch. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Never cared for the LVC, too much green. That’s my preference, go with what you like.

The 116610LVc has too much green for me (I chose th 16610LV).
The blue TTc is the one.

For me the answer is simple. Get both. If you can't do that, keep the Hulk.

I prefer the SD43 as a daily wear. A perfect Rolex Diver for me and a perfect fit for my 7.5-7.75 wrist. I am not a TT fan and while I have owned the TT Submariner I would stick with the Hulk before I made that trade.

The Hulk is a nice watch, but for me in doses! It's too much green to rock over and over again, but got to go with what you like.

Are you bored with it? Do you have anything else on your collection? I’d maybe consider adding one of the ones you mentioned instead of trading it.

Green doesn't do it for me, especially as a daily. If you are asking this question you probably have some of those same thoughts. I'd go with a SD43 out of those three. I'm not a fan of the bluesy at all. Beautiful watch but a whole different path as a daily. JC is great if you have the wrist for it. Sea Dweller wins!

The only watch I would let the 116610LV go for is the 116619, which is exactly what I did. Otherwise I would keep it.

Flipping for a dream watch makes sense to me. Flipping for any of several watches makes less sense to me.

There was a recent thread from a member who sold his 5 digit Sub for a six digit and now regrets the move. Similar posts are common fare here to the point that sellers remorse is more common than buyers remorse. The 116610LV is an iconic reference and if you can at all see your way clear to keeping it while adding to your collection I would.

Might as well make the most of current market condition, cash in on the Hulk and get the more versatile SD43 with regards to colour.

Since its your daily, No. SD43/JC to big/heavy. TT to much flash. Stick with the Hulk, despite the green it will work better for every day then the ones you mentioned.
ps: Whats with the incomplete/stupid thread titles on this (Rolex)forum? "Your Thoughts…" Its eather clickbait or simply laziness. What about a title that actualy contains some information on the question. Mods? Put in a rule/advise on adding the subject in the title or something. These generic thread titles are spreading and are getting annoying. |

Its all personal preference
I bought the LVc sub before the TT LB sub and still have them both. I personally prefer the LVc way more than the blue sub. Although i would sell neither, the characteristics are unique for both pieces. The SD, fantastic piece of engineering and i sorely regret not adding an SD4K to my collection before the prices went mental. For me, anything over 14mm thick and > 42mm just feels too big and i have large wrists. 39-40mm is the sweet spot for me. So i wouldn't make the trade, even for the LB. LVc is a cracking watch, i think you should hang onto it. |
