Oyster bracelet opinions
Greetings everyone, I was hoping someone here can tell me if the Oyster bracelet looks legit. The "V" seems to put it around 1996, but I'm not sure what the "C" stands for. Any help would be appreciated! Joe

Looks fishy to me. I am going with "fake", but I am looking forward to the bracelet experts ringing in. Steve Mulholland - is it the real deal?

Judging from photo #1, I'm going to say FAKE.

Photo 1 is a clue, and photos 2 and 3 seal the deal for me.

I hope these photos may be of some additional help. I can't seem to get a really clear shot. I've really been looking around the net trying to find a similar clasp layout. I did see one which looked identical outside of the date code. May I ask what leads you to believe it's fake? Thanks again!

To me, it is the poor finish work of the Rolex scroll trademark on the clasp, in addition to the reference numbers on the bracelet and endlinks - they just don't look "right". However, I am no bracelet expert.

In the first photo the serial number on the end link looks too large, and also, as the other Mike stated above, the Rolex crown looks to be very poorly done as well.
I'd stay away. |

I don't like it either. The scrollwork and the crown don't look crisp enough. Also, shouldn't "REGISTERED" be centered above "SWISS MADE?"

That's what I thought, but I did find a genuine on the net with the exact off-center markings. Definitely a tough one here.

Err buddies...judging from the pictures posted...that bracelet is mixed up...
The Oyster links 78360 with 558 EL...is for DateJust models...looks OK. The folding clasps may have been swapped...NO good. |
