Perpetual Legibility
Hi,
I’m finally receiving my 41 perpetual in steel/blue in 2 weeks and have a question for the owners out there. My concern is reading the date from 3 separate sub dials; is it practical? I love the way PP does window displays for month a day and not sure how (im)practica it is on the AP? Cheers. |

depends, if you have own several PC pieces and still prefer the PP ones. Also the RD2 perpetual calendar RO is coming in Q2 2019, if you can get the RD2 instead wait for it!
If I have been given the chance to grab a RD2 I'd definitely go for the RD2!!! It is so thin and so radical! The dial reads more easily and looks more clearly!! Plus, it has a platinum case!! |

What is APs obsession with mixing titanium and platinum
Maybe I need to see this in real life but from the get go I thought they were odd bedfellows.

The day/night is indeed not available on the 26574, but it is on the RD2 lol.

I'd say wait till you see it in person. The ultra thin perpetual calendar ref# 26586IP has a blue "satin-finished" dial, which looks really good with the shinny platinum bezel

The rd2 is way above my budget. I haven’t owned any PC before but Patel’s impeemtwrion is way cleaner imo.

I think if you prefer the cleaner look and clearer reading go for the patek. Also if you have already own several AP RO/ROO , a classic leather strap gold patek PC will be a great piece to your collection.

I’ve heard that the Perpetual wears smaller than the 15400 even though they are both 41mm. Can anyone confirm this who has tried them both? I thought the case was the same for both of them?

although both are 41 , i can confirm that the Perpetual calendar is smaller due to the different lugs and thinner case , wears like a 40 mm
