Is this fair??

I was offered this tiger eye dial which I have on hold and I am sure I am buying but it has some cracks on it as pointed out in pics however once installed should not be too noticeable? He is asking 2200$ shipped and installed. FYI my day date 18248 is a daily wearer and is never going to be polished and takes abuse so not concerned about scratches on dial. Its the top portion I am concerned about. just curious to see if it’s a fair price as I haven’t seen any others like it listed lately.

I would be curious to understand how the damage happened in the first place? Installed my bet would be that you will not be able to see the imperfections too much, especially on your daily wearer.

Do you think the price is fair?

I wouldn’t give that much for it. I’d rather wait for a better example. They’re uncommon, but not really that rare.

I wouldn’t spend that kind of cash for a dial with that large of a defect... I would always think about it. Hold out for a good example if you are prepared to spend a couple thousand on cool a replacement dial.

Cracked dial, no way for that price. Not sure the price on broken dials of that type. i'd offer $700 installed at most and that means new gaskets too.

That's a lot of $ for a significantly flawed dial. Just my 2 cents but I would pass and keep looking. But only you can answer if it's worth it to you.

Love tiger eye. But with those defects, I would wait. $2200? Nope.

Seems a little pricey considering condition IMHO

Price is fair given the rarity and condition

I agree with most others, no way for that price! In all honesty, I wouldn't put a damaged dial in my watch for free; it would drive me nuts.

Pricey for a damaged dial. You might regret it if they are visible.
