Also, my day and date changed over instantly about 2 minutes after midnight. I recall there being some early problems with this. Are folks with recent watches having any issues?

When I consistently wear my DJ41, it gains less than a second per day. In the winder, it loses a little time, like 2 seconds a day. Exceptional stuff.

I've had 3 DD40s now. All of them kept awesome time.

Only my very first one had the date flip issue and that was bought in late 2016. I think all the newer ones dated late 2017 and newer will not have any late date changes. I havent heard anyone complain lately.

Good to know. Thanks for chiming in. I was never clear if it was a manufacturing/QC problem, or a design issue. Either way, glad it’s solved.

Finally some who used timegrapher to measure time keeping instead of apps. Looks great.

One of my experimental watches a Chinese made watch with a Seagull ST19 movement after careful regulation ran a consistent +2 seconds daily not bad for a $60 watch.

Yep, I’ve seen people invest a lot of time in getting a Seiko 5, or Miyota movement to that level too. It doesn’t happen consistently, at scale, or for many decades, though.

You seem to have become quite jaded lately, padi. Not everyone who buys PM watches only wants jewelry. Not every Rolex buyer is trying to capitalize on the price frenzy.
