16600 polished lugs?
Do these lugs look polished down too much?

Hmm, they’re polished undoubtedly....too much?
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I think they look beautiful from my phone. |

Overpolished, yes.
For reference, a sharp-edged five digit SD case is more like this. |

The chamfers are soft, but not extreme.

Looks like It may have been given a slight once over but I've seen much worse.
My 14060 also appeared to get a slight polish but the lines were still sharp, the graining is still there and it is no where near some of the terrible jobs I've seen. Lugs take a beating over the lifetime of a watch. I personally wouldn't worry about it. The most important thing is that you have the watch you want. You can always send the piece in to RSC for service or to someone like LAWW and they'll restore it to new. Sent from my SM-T713 using Tapatalk |

16600 polished lugs?
Quote:
I recently went through something similar. I traded in my BLNR for a 14060 (plus cash). So I know what you mean by your last new piece was perfect. It's really had to find perfect unpolished pieces that are 10 plus years old. And if they are perfect, there is a premium. The lugs on these watches take a beating. They're usually one of the first things to show wear and dealers will from time to time touch the lugs up. Some do them really well and some do them really bad. I don't think your lugs are bad by any stretch and they may have even been just given a quick cape cod cloth. Not even a real hard polish. The lines still look quite good. Thing can be repaired or cases replaced. The question is more about if the 16600 is really the one that catches your eye and that you love on the wrist. Ask yourself, if this forum didn't exist, and you didn't see posts about polishing and resale value, etc. would you love the watch for what it was and how it looked? That's really the question for you. My 14060 is not anywhere near as perfect as my BLNR was. But I like it better, much better. Dings, slight polish and all. Sent from my SM-T713 using Tapatalk |

They don't look polished-down at all.

Thanks again guys! I think I might have a lug perception issue after coming from an 114060. Here are more pics of mine:
