Hello Guys,

Today while i was heading to work parked my car i found a bvlgari watch laying in the snow so i picked it up and research it and found its a really expensive watch so im just curious how can you tell if this watch is fake/replica from the looks of it i research it and it looks like a "BVLGARI ASSIOMA" take a look at the pictures tell me what you think ? also the watch looks like it could be an older model it looks sorta worn out. At the very bottom it reads [S.Swiss] and [MADE S] if that helps.

From the looks of it you hit a jackpot - the case is definitely real, and so is the rotor. The rest is just a 7750, so no reason for it to not be real. Only odd thing is - no serial number on caseback. Could be the way they did it a few years ago.

Im assuming this is a older model of the assioma series ....Maybe it belong to an old guy with a small wrist lol it fits pretty tight on me. Any idea how much this watch go for?

Still sold, you can find em for $3500 new.

I don't know how much of a resale they have though
I thought they had serial #'s on the back though???
Also its hard to tell about the text on front....
Seems like its fading in one of the pics and it shouldnt be wearing
that easily BUT that may just be the pic

I don't know anything about this brand of watch.
But the 7750 movement is very well known, throughout the watching fraternity, it is fitted to a large number of watches such as IWC.
Recently Valijoux were taken over by ETA, which as we all know is part of the Swatch group.

I bet that the owner will be grateful to get it back.
It looks like it has been worn for quite a number of years.

Its not fading It was the way the picture was taken. Would it be a good idea to take it to a jewelry store see how much is worth?

No, it would be a good idea to try and find the owner...

File a report with the police and your office building
as it sounds like you found it in the office parking lot.

Keeping it is wrong....
If you take it in for service ever it will be taken from you.
If you sell it and that person takes it in for service you could have charges of selling stolen property against you (even though you found it, if you dont try to find the owner its stolen).

Seriously... It's not worth the bad karma for the little you will get from it...

I agree with trying to return it. How would you feel if you had lost your watch? Would you not want someone to do the right thing and return it? Place an ad in the newspaper; that you found a watch in a parking lot, name the parking lot, ask the owner to call you and identify the watch. If they call and say; "I lost my expensive Bvlgari", you know you found the owner, return it. Life's too short to not feel good about what you do and who you are. My motto is; "At the end of the day, I have to like who I see in the mirror."

As an aside,
The law, in florida anyway, that if you "find something" on the ground it is not yours to sell.

Over the counter buyers are not even allowed by law to buy it.

I believe you must turn it over to the police and, if no one claims it after 30 or 45 days, it becomes yours.

Dude, not cool. If you can undo the sale - my opinion is that you should. Call the police and turn it in. If nobody claims the property - it may become rightfully yours. Check your States laws. Always better to do the right thing IMO.

You know, dude, you're absolutely right. Don't ban this guy - he has some good points. As a matter of fact, he inspires me. The economy IS really f*&#ed up, so desperate times call for desperate measures.

He actually came, got an answer to his question (the legitimacy of the watch), and he sold it for a profit. I think we all tried to have him do the right thing and guide him in the right direction. Some folks you just can't rescue. He was led down the greed path and only thought of himself at the time.

This - truly - could have turned a lot better. We tried.

I hope the rightful owner had insurance and gets full replacement value /or/ that the thief (that calls himself as the finder's keeper) gets caught for his actions.

I know beginning of last year I found a Seiko watch, no markings, probably worth a couple hundred bucks, handed it in to the local police, turns out it had great sentimental value to the owner, they contacted me after picking up the watch offered me $50 for finding it, I couldn't even take the money.... the reason, This is what I would expect my community around me to do if I lost something of value... I'll rephrase that anything at all!!!!!

I can't stop thinking about the original owner of the watch, I know how I'd feel if I lost one of my watches!!!!
