Check the for sale forum here on this site, there have been quite a few listed lately by known sellers.

Scooba - I got the Brand New TT-YG Daytona instead since my AD have one SS available and he didn't put it in the show case while the other 4 AD in Cleveland Ohio didn't have it!. I can still get it for the MSRP with him ($9,925USD) but it a White Dial ! I just can't stomach to buy any thing MSRP. So, I bought the TT-YG Daytona with white dial for $10,050USD! I don't know if I made the right decision but some how I like the TT better!

Hi Chris . as for the waiting list thing i have tried i have bought lots of watches from my AD it has changed names 3 times but is still owned by goldsmiths plc.
They have been happy to take my money for the last 16 years i have bought 4 rolex and my wife 2 rolex and 1 gucci .when i mentioned THE DAYTONA i was quoted 7 years wtf.But at xmas i was advised if i came i with 1k i could at least go on the list ok i said lets do it .Then he said oh we can only have 6 on the list you would be 7th come back in april 09. I have a issue here as they have been happy to take my money for so many years now i want something special they dont want to know ahhhhhhhh |

Hmm, not sure if I agree with Goldsmith's getting you to put significant amounts of money down on a watch, but I suppose that's their business model. I think the story around most ADs is that they all have a very convoluted waiting list - I happen to be 45th on the list at my local AD (which suits me fine, I need to wait several years to afford one ), but if you can find one that doesn't have a first come, first served list, then maybe you could have a bit of luck sooner. It's a shame that Goldsmiths haven't treated you well, despite your continued support, the art of customer service seems to be dwindling these days. |

You are in for a serious wait my friend unless you start to befriend more AD's. If you insist on your name on the UK warrenty you're effectively asking for a TRF member to pass on his turn for a SS Daytona and possibly being classed as a grey dealer at that AD as the AD will want to know what the heck is going on IMO. This could and probably will cost the member his reputation at said AD. I know you don't mean it that way but that could be the consequence of what you are requesting.
If i were you and i wanted a SS Daytona immediately I would start communicating on a must have basis at several AD's aswell as reviewing my personal expectations with regards warrenty name, UK only and RRP. There are several BNIB SS Daytonas available for £6500 and less through ebay and the grey market. Best of luck though my man. I know how you feel by the way as I have been there as has every other SS Daytona owner..

Unlikely, and if you shop wise now, the difference between retail and grey is so small now, that you may as well just bite the bullet and get the enjoyment, who cares what name it is in after the first five mins of ownership
