Oysterflex bracelet segment question
Hello guys, I have a question for you :
I recently bought a 116515LN and was surprised to notice that my Oysterflex bracelet segments are not E-F and E-D, like the 519LN I owned before, but simply F and D. The watch is from april 2019. Has any of you got the same reference on his Daytona with OF ? |

Are you saying that they are just marking them differently?
E-E and E-F are the standard Daytona sizes, but maybe they just changed it to the second letter only since they all start with E anyways. |

I noticed that as well on another members OF strap; only stated one letter (had to save a picture just in case).

Thank you stylinleems, that’s exactly like mine.
It’s surprising considering that mine is an italian one, that I had a swiss one with the E-‘s on and a friend of mine has a french one with the E- on too… |

Interesting, didn't pay much attention to the change until now and just decided to take a look.
A "E-F" segment I got from RSC in a swap last November only has the letter F printed on the inside. My 116519LN with E-E and E-D sizes, also only has "E" and "D" by itself. The E was delivered with the watch in January 2019, while the D was a RSC swap. |

Yes of course they are the size rating. They used to be labeled E-E (which pretty much most people had on one side), and then E-F or E-G or whatever your required size was. Now it seems like they've gotten rid of the first E since pretty much every size starts with E, and have started going with just the second letter. I have a couple of sets and I always wondered why they had the first E, so maybe this explains that. |

The single letter strap indicates a newer production Oysterflex. I always thought it was pointless for all the OF segments to have an "E" at the front.
