Is it Safe Yes It its.

Is it safe threads please God give me strength, with today's Rolex wearers with special crystal buff clothes, special Rolex shampoo, special watch resting cloths. Please Rolex bring back the tool watches, and wearers of yesterdays past years.According to many on the net you can never be overly paranoid with Rolex watches as they are quite fragile if you wear them or take them out of the box, that's what some posts seem to portray on forum lately. These ultimate Rolex watch protectors will protect your watch from the harmful rays from the moon, and the ultraviolet radiation from the sun, if you dare taking your Rolex out of its box and going outdoors. And will further protect it from very harmful specks of dust and god forbid any finger marks on case or crystal. This product has taken many years of development and uses the finest products known to man.The Officially Certified polypropylene Neoprene take 12 months to manufacture just like a Rolex watch. This combined with the super new superduper ding lock protection patented material gives ultimate protection for your Rolex. They have just brought out another product made from the same Certified polypropylene Neoprene to protect the Rolex box with special compartments for all the bits of sticky back plastic and other plastic bits. These box/watch protectors have been fully tested by NASA and will be used on the next mission to the moon. Now available in all the colours of the rainbow, plus any colour of your choice, just ask the special customisation dept.As for warranty its been tested to 10000 years so it should last a lifetime if normal routine service has been applied.

So here you are guys, crystal, scratch, theft, and super soft watch, and wrist protection for your Rolex. A bit naff looking but what Super protection, for already one of the toughest made watches on this planet today.Made from 4mm super super soft high density COSC tested, 100% Superlative Officially Certified polypropylene Neoprene and no I will not tell you where you can buy them so don't ask.A Rolex is for life and wearing and don't need any sort of pampering except soap and water and routine service.

jk Padi

You know Padi, I was just wondering the other day if Rolex still makes tool watches

Because these super shiny watches that are pricey (in my opinion) are almost just basically jewelry, specially because like you say, most members “baby” them

As I was thinking about this, I realized that Rolex watches, if anything, are better made today than they used to be

Which leads me to believe that the watches themselves are still tools, what have changed are the people

I bet it costs just as much to make as the Fossil watch in the picture.

I would pay dearly for this if it was in Rolex Green and sported the Rolex name!

I like it Padi, but it looks like dust could creep in the sides.
Better velcro the sides too.

I wonder if that will be collectible?
I wonder if it will be discontinued and go up in value?
What is the best strategy for buying this? Should I bundle some socks or belts first? You know to build the "relationship"?
Are dealers hiding these in the back or selling them to grey dealers? This is so unfair, I need this now!

So funny and so sad at the same time.

I'm out.

Entertaining way of making a good point. It'll be at least 48 hrs before another "Is it safe thread" will surface.

Of course they do. The problem is somehow the tool and the wearer have become reversed. The wearers are rapidly becoming the tools completely possessed by material possessions. Yeager and all the other WWII aviators didn't worry about scratching their crystals and cases inside their cockpits. Comex divers and all the other professional divers of years gone by didn't worry about hairline scratches on their watches from their wetsuits. The astronauts didn't worry about damage from a zero g environment. Climbers didn't carry Cape Cod in their packs. It's all becoming quite absurd.

From my reading of this forum it's clear more people buy these things to impress others and for generating a profit. It's too bad the forum is reflecting more and more daily this new reality. At least we still have Hodinkee. Personally, I'm not impressed one little bit by another's material possessions.

This is not new. One of the main reasons the majority of people buy a Rolex is because it retains it's value fairly well.

Isn't there outgassing of plasticizers from the neoprene? That ain't getting near one of my watches. You never know what it could do to the seals!!!

Did you have to establish a relationship with your AD? Were you on the waitlist? Did they make you bundle? If the answers are yes, yes, and yes screw it, I am going grey because life is too short

I like to look less conspicuous when I go out and thought that the dark fabric of the watch protector was a bit of a "give away." Going to church, I find that light protection of my watch will suffice.

But I find that the most effective method of all is to draw a watch on paper to wear daily and leave real one in the safe.
