TT Sub or GMT

Probably can only afford one and deciding between the two tone YG and Stainless Blue/Gold (Bluesy) or the Original GMT (Black on Black)..

I would use the GMT function but also love the gold and royal blue bluesy look too but was curious on others opinions if anyone has had a similar decision they made in the past.

Always been a SS guy so I'll take the GMT.
Cheers.

for a 1-watch collection, the SS GMT black makes more sense

One of my favorite watches for a couple years was a two tone watch with a white dial and the Airborne insignia that my father gave me. Lately I have been into stainless models.

I feel like having the connection and sentimental value to the watch is more important than the current style (stainless steel right now). The popular styles will change one day, but your connection to the watch will be there forever.

This makes me think about the state of my collection...

For GMTs, if we're not talking about the Pepsi, Batman, or Rootbeer, I'm more drawn to the Submariner (any flavor). In my eye it has a cleaner look, although I would say it's pretty close, if you think you'll make use of the GMT function then that might very well seal the deal.

I'm actually considering a TT YG GMT myself as I already have a SS SubC.

So long story short, I don't think you can go wrong with any of these choices, which makes it particularly difficult.

I actually faced the same dilemma two days ago. Except in my case it was take the 116613LB or continue waiting for a GMT.

After really trying the GMT on my wrist, I became convinced (she was whispering things in my ear!) that the GMT bezel was indeed too crowded, and didn’t look quite right.

And I too would have found the GMT function useful on a daily basis as well. But form over function anytime lol.

And honestly, with world times on smart phones, the GMT usefulness is somewhat negated as well.

So I went for the Bluesy, and I’m loving it more and more as well.

As has been put forth, it is the iconic submariner.
