Drying Up

Anyone else notice Hulk inventory seems to be drying up? Seems many of the prominent trusted sellers do not and have not had any in stock for a while.

As I said in a previous post I was told by two people I consider credible that the reference was being retired and production would stop sometime this year. I wonder if this is related or just a coincidence.

Evidently a lot of green watches were being traded at this dealer show recently ........................ seem plentiful to me.

Now I understand why so many watches from the grey market don't come with the box . . . takes up too much space.

Most likely Hong Kong. They have a watch fair show where all dealers around the world (Qatar, UAE, LA, NYC etc.) setup and have their watches on display.

Only place in the world I see so many high end watches on people's wrists (Richard Mille, Patek anniversary etc.) casually walking around, and note the guys with the duffel bags full of cash (bricks in USD or HKD). I once saw a guy who had his duffel bag open, I counted 7 bricks of yellow notes (just short of 1M USD).

I once guesstimated the value of a handful of booths; 10M USD.

Caesars Palace

Dealers commonly post photos of literally mounds of “supposed” hard to acquire watches from shows on IG. Just this morning, photos of a pile of the new Pepsi w/jubilee bracelets, you know, the ones that an AD can’t get ............................

The prices for watches there give you the true picture of what the real prices are. Booths have around a 100-200 USD difference in price if you inquire about a Daytona C.

I walked into a grey last weekend with 17 Hulks, some in their coffins, some in sturdy plastic sleeves sitting on a shelf waiting to registered on their inventory system. Didn't get a price as not my priority at the time.

In addition to that, there was a big auction at the Marriott in Pacific Place. Level 2 or 3. Hammer falls this week.

And to think only a few years ago I walked into an AD randomly on a Wednesday and bought the 116610LV out of a display case for just under MSRP.

Gosh, those pictures might make one think that a Rolex watch is just a mass-produced commodity. Like a Toyota.

Nope. Walked through the NY Diamond District yesterday, pretty much everyone with watches in their window display had a Hulk or multiples. Had two of the hawkers on the sidewalk ask me if I was looking to sell my BLRO.

Don't think any watch has laboured under so many rumours as this watch.

Rolex should deny service on any new watch to any person but the owner for the first 5 years...

Let the scalpers sit on their investment for 5 years.

LOL Drying up my ass.

These things are everywhere. I just came back from Malaysia. Each Gray had at least 3-4 Hulks there (the smaller grays). The larger grays had heaps of them I mean > 10 pieces.

This is all bullshit scarcity crap.

That will not stop people from buying it. They will just service it outside if RSC. Remember some of these cards are not signed or dated, making the second owner appear as the original owner.

The demand is far too high do anything to sit for 5 days better yet 5 years

They prob just list one at a time and then maybe wait a little before listing the next to give the continued impression of scarcity .
