WG DD40 as a casual option?

Curious, for those of you who own a DD40, how does it stack up as a more casual day-to-day watch. I've always viewed it as a more "dressy" option compared to the sports models. But have also seen it "dressed down" very nicely on occasion. I'm a 95% jeans and t-shirts and sweaters kind of guy. I can count the times I wear a suit each year on one or two hands max. The WG version with blue dial is (currently) the most appealing to me, so wondering if those of you who already own could comment on this. I know it's ultimately a personal decision, but always (well, usually) appreciate the insight of the group here :)

I think a DD looks great with casual clothes if you dress casual but sharp. Proper fit, etc.

I love the contrast of a DD against a casual outfit.

Whilst i have an Everose DD40 chocolate/ice dial, the WG DD40 is truly a universal wear and have fun watch. Dress up or down, should go with virtually any style.

WG DD40 as a casual option?

It goes with just about anything minus army fatigues and dresses up/down with ease. That being said, there’s nothing subtle about a solid gold Rolex with a fluted bezel...WG or other.

Just because a watch is pricey doesn't mean it's formal. There isn't a Rolex made that can't be worn casually.

I think it works fine in a casual setting. But, to be honest, I don't really think about it much.

The WG DD40 can certainly be dressed down. I do it all the time. Very versatile watch. Rocked it in a bathing suit at the pool just a few days ago.

I don’t wear suits and button down sleeves maybe on Friday evening to dinner and the sleeves rolled up.
I dress casual but proper if that makes sense(short sleeve button down tucked in)
I don’t daily my dd40 just because of my work enviroment but rock it in the weekends be it pool beach shorts jeans and white T....

It's great all-around, I even prefer it a little casually dressed. Just a little fancier Datejust if in WG.

Full disclosure though, I just traded mine towards a Daytona WG. Might add again in future, perhaps in YG.
