Seattle Ben bridge selection

FYI just stop by the downtown Seattle ben bridge. all they have in terms of stainless steel models is a sea dweller and a two-tone sub.

Is the black sea dweller really that difficult to acquire? I thought it seems readily available at MSRP on the grey market

If I'd have seen this a bit earlier I would've been tempted to put the pedal down.

I live in Minneapolis and often visit the only Ben Bridge in the midwest. Picked up a Sub date by just walking in and asking. One month before buying the Sub date there was a Sub no date in the display case ! How often does that happen ? Passed on it, really wanted the date. Ben Bridge seems to be an honest AD who doesn't play games like so many others. They do get SS watches in on a regular basis. Last week they received a Root Beer that they put in the display case after calling their wait list with no takers. Of course it was sold within a day. There are a few other Rolex ADs in the Twin Cities but they are all game players and unnecessarily arrogant. I am a big fan of Bridges.

When I was in Portland, the Ben Bridge downtown was absolutely disgusting. I stopped in with my girlfriend and I explained how I was looking to purchase my first Rolex and what I was looking for/open to. Their inventory was awful, not even a single fluted DJ41. When I mentioned wanting a GMT or even a Sub date I was quietly asked if I had shopped with them, and when I said that I had shopped with my local BB, she had the audacity to ask "how much?". Then told me if I was willing to purchase something "RIGHT NOW" then MAYBE she can get me on the list. When I expressed that I wasn't interested she tried to force a smooth bezel DJ on me; I left with a bad taste in my mouth. I checked the Yelp shortly after and realized that it was the manager and she is known for using this tactic.

I went to the other BB about 20 minutes south and was met with an equally empty inventory, but at least the sales person there was extremely polite and I didn't feel like I was going to be pressured into buying something else.

Ben Bridge use to be good, but nowadays, I am not sure what's going on, customer service is not there anymore. No wonder couple of my local BB got their Rolex AD license taken away. Inventory def sucks from all BB I have visited lately.

Polacheck’s? If so, they are fantastic! I haven’t been in for a while, purchased my BLNR from them just when they were starting to show up a bit and before the madness. I’ve been meaning to pop in for a visit and see how hard hit their stock has been by all of this.

Yes I got that sense. I've never shopped at this Ben bridge but I was quite pleased with their service. Definitely will be shopping with them as soon as they have something I need

Bummer, I was just there last weekend, asking about...a Sea Dweller! They did have a stainless YMII sitting there though. Sales staff was nice, not uptight or dismissive with me for inquiring like some other dealers I've been through.

Hadn't been to Seattle for many years, I would definitely not walk out of that AD and up Pike to my hotel with a Rolex bag in the evening, I'd be brown bagging that one.

Yeah totally. someone was in there buying watch and he said the same exact thing. They expect that so they have plain bags to put all the stuff in but even then when you walk out of the store like that you got to have some situational awareness and know who's around you and was watching you leave the store no matter what type of bag you have. It's amazing how little situation awareness a lot of people have and then wonder why they were targeted.

Customer service at every AD is now a joke. They think they have You by the Short Hairs so they twist and watch you squirm....Great Buying experience.

Okay, I usually lurk, but I had to post when I found out not 1, but 2 other people are familiar with Polacheck's Calabasas. What the heck...you gives live in the neighborhood?

I bought my sub no date at that very Polacheck's. Was a 30th birthday gift from my parents, and the rep was very quick to secure one for them even though they had "no stock." Might have to do with family purchase history though. My mom lives nearby and has purchased jewelry from them before.

this is great to hear. I live in Oxnard so the ben bridge in thousand oaks is where I usually stop but I will definitely give Polachek's a call

When I was there they had a BLNR in stock which I *almost* bought, but this was 2017!

Ended up getting the BLNR while visiting UK a few months later and reclaiming tax as I departed.

I picked up a PM Daytona from them recently. Found the staff pleasant to deal with, though the neighborhood is a bit rougher these days.

SD43 and Deepsea black almost linger in the same price range. I dont know US prices so wouldnt know.

Did it have a red text to it?

Also finding any SS (not Milgauss!) on display is a rarity nowadays.
