Glashuette Sports watches
I am a fan of Glashuette watches, but my dress watch collection is already well over stocked.
But now they have released their new sports watches.... what do people think? https://www.glashuette-original.com/...ist-collection I am visiting their boutique tomorrow and seriously considering the Sea Q piece, on rubber strap.

I like this lineup, wish the sub 40mm version came with a Panorama Date like the 44mm model.

Great looking watches but over priced even with a significant discount. Secondary market is dismal for resellers.

I feel like the arrow should be on the tip of the hour hand rather than the minute hand. It just looks to me like the minute hand is too heavy compared to the hour one. Throws it off balance

I had a Sport Evo and I can wholeheartedly say.....
I would never buy one of their watches again. One day I noticed through the glass back that the gooseneck adjuster on the movement was rusting. I don't even remember the whole chronology of the nightmare to repair it on warranty but it took something like 6 months going back and forth between Swatch and my dealer and Germany and when it came back the rear case seal was pinched and hanging out of the caseback. It got sent back to Germany one more time and when I got it back I sold it and never regretted it. They are idiots and should not be dealt with on any level.

Would anyone have further info on the water resistance of the SeaQ divers? I.e. the crown seals, how many are there and where is it located? Caseback seal, how does it work together with the always-correct case back system? Is this a similar version to Omega's Naaid lock system as they are under the Swatch group?
I wanted a Sea Dweller for its impressive (to me) Triplock system but the Rolex market is preventing me mere mortals like me from getting one. Hence the SeaQ! |
