What is your favorite camera?

Just bought a Sony a6400. Enjoying it. We travel a lot. I like a light kit.

I also own a Nikon D750. Great but heavy. And a Nikon D5500. Lighter and pretty good.

Have heard good things about the Sony A7iii. Anyone have one?

I had a Sony RX100III. It was a great travel camera. Now I have a Panasonic G7. But what do I really use? Google Pixel.

Cameras are tools, it all depends on what you are going to use it for.

I currently own/use a Sony A7RIII plus various lenses. It is not a perfect camera, but the output beats pretty much anything out there.

I've been dabbling with the idea of getting a Nikon Z6 but as much as I love the Nikon handling and interface, they are substantially behind in the mirrorless games right now in terms of AF performance as well as lens offering. I don't think it makes sens to buy F-mount glass at this point.

The real sleeper/winner in the digital industry is Fuji(film). Their X-T3 is a great camera, small and compact and tons of fun to use. But it is cropped sensor...

Had the Sony RX100 also. Great camera. Now I use my iPhone and nothing else. It’s good enough for me and it’s always handy.

Nikon Z6 and Leica M10, depends on the application. Photo quality is all about the user, the light and the lenses. However you can’t underestimate the joy you get from shooting with a piece of equipment you really gel with.

For travel it’s the Fuji x100f. Used a DSLR setup prior to that and it was just too cumbersome. GoPro for diving and active sports.

Like the majority of people I just use my iPhone these days. Makes travel so much simpler and I really don’t like being weighed down by stuff when I’m out and about.

I've had lots of great cameras but a real fun compact one for travel and just walking around is my Canon 50 SX. It has a 24-1200 lens on it and can handle any vacation needs without carrying around a bunch of lenses.

I’ve just looked it up. Does look to be a good compromise for travel. Perhaps an old model now though? Superzoom concept is really good assuming the quality is reasonable.

My main digital camera is a Canon 24MP and this SX is only 12 so there is a bit of drop off but I don't enlarge to much over 20 inches on travel stuff anyways.

I haven't looked if there is a current upgrade to this camera or not. But when traveling I was always wishing I had a different lens or more variety and this thing is pretty amazing.

Looks like there's a 60 and a 70 SX now.

https://www.amazon.com/Canon-Powersh.../dp/B07HH1PVRZ

If you scroll down the page to near the bottom it shows some zoom shots.

Have a couple of Panasonics with Leica lenses. A nice little Fujifilm, small and great performance.
I’m interested in the Leica Q2, great compact. Don’t have a “smartphone”, but use an iPad for posting photos here.

Love my Nikon D800 with Sigma ART-lenses. Unfortunately its a beast to carry around so its not as used as it should be.

Pretty good pictures compared to my Nikon D750, a fraction of the weight.

I shoot with a D4 at work (used to use a D810) & it is definitely cumbersome if you're taking it around shooting for fun.

I have an older Nikon D40x and a bit newer Canon Rebel T6. But I mainly use my iPhone 7 Plus or my Sony Powershot S95. All take good photos for what I need and use. Although I have contemplated a Sony RX100 for many years just never pulled the trigger. I do enjoy all the great photos posted here. Cheers, Tim

Leica M3's from 1957, 1959, 1960. Plus three LeicaMeters, CEYOO Flash, and a nice collection of various Summicron and Elmar lenses. All Leica items are restored.
