Baselworld. They dont announce it. They just remove it from the website.

However AD's will get the gist of it before that as theyre told by their relationship managers that they no longer can get X model. That's also how rumours start to flourish.

To those who say Baselworld, I would like to have that correct. Not precise. They would quietly remove pieces out and the only way to have that known would be when you try placing an order. Assumptions made by many is that they simply run out of parts for old reference and knowing Baselworld will see new reference they simply discontinue supply to AD. That happened many times. This year it is the time for PM Subs, so watch out for 116618 and 116619! They might end up their presence any time soon.

116619LB has been predicted to be discontinued way before I even opened up an account on here Could 2020 be the year? Let's see.

They don't run out of parts. They repurpose them for the next big thing. Look at the Air King. Same case, movement, and antimag complication as Milgauss. Out goes the white dial and black dial Milgauss, in comes the Air King with new dial and brushed bracelet.

I think they have discontinued models mid-year before. I don’t think it’s always at the same time each year.

Well looking at the many posts on forum lately its brain-sells, they seem to be discontinued now on forum. The average adult human brain has about 100 billion cells, but looking at posts on forum lately many have lost around 95% them.

The 116710BLNR was rumored to be discontinued around June of last year. I imagine that's when they stopped the assembling of new BLNRs and finished casing out what was already planned. Then we got concrete evidence of its discontinuation around September or October by way of Bucherer sending out a letter (in Germany) to their waitlisted customers telling them that they were discontinued. This was obviously still secondhand but a lot firmer than the rumors that were out during the summer. I remember this because when I bought my BLNR (in August) I mentioned that I wanted to get one before they were discontinued to my AD, and he obviously hadn't heard about the discontinuation -- it was just a rumor at that point.

We didn't get the official news about the 116710BLNR being replaced by the 126710BLNR until Baselworld.

So if that's any guide I'd expect rumors to start in Summer to Fall, and more indirect confirmation in late Fall or Winter, with the official announcement obviously at Baselworld in March/April.
