Rolex in Japan
Hello all. New here. Currently based in Tokyo and was wondering if anyone could give me some insight into SS sports models here and recommended ADs. Been to a few and it’s the same old story with the polite rejection Japanese style.. lol. until recently when I walked in wearing a batman and they initiated the conversation...
I own a few SS models and have my eyes on a 2018 ss BLRO . any insight on ADs here would be much appreciated. Thanks guys. |

No.
There are no SS desirable models to be found in ADs in Japan. Sorry. Don't kill the messenger. It is like everywhere else. Grey dealers at a substantial premium yes. ADs zero to no chance. |

Sports models, haven’t seen in ADs in Tokyo but plenty in grey market Nakano.
Closest SS availability would be DJ41’s but even then it’s very few...Shibuya Tokyu Dept did have a white dial/smooth bezel/oyster on Tues. Mitsukoshimae had a black dial/smooth bezel/oyster DJ41 but I bought it. They had a silver dial too on Tues but dunno if that’s gone. DJ41 with fluted seems to be plentiful enough in whatever combo (no blue dial though). And of course two tones are plentiful. As for sports, YM platinum and 2-tones crop up occasionally. Gold with diamonds crop up more often. YM2 & SkyDwellers seem to be everywhere. Daytona in 2-tone & precious metals/stones come up every now and then. |

Cheers guys. Much appreciated. I bought a DJ for the wife today to establish some sort of relationship and in hope that I’ll get on a wait list. He did tell me they had the new batman in recently but that was about it. I’ve seen TT Daytona’s and sky dwellers in plenty here. BLRO will complete my collection so might end up going grey if there’s absolutely no chance at the AD. Pepsi ridiculously expensive now because of short supply.

Grey market prices are crazy everywhere. Same story that no SS can be found on a display.

I find that place expensive. I think even the greys in Nakano are cheaper.

osaka AD told me they dont have such thing as waitlist. When they received any ss model, they would just display it right away. So they some customers popping in 3 times a day to check availability.

This used to be the way in most ADs. And I’d trust the Japanese to still do this. Love them to bits

Bought couple watches in Nakano last month. Paid 620,000 yen for a used 2009 white milgauss in ippukishi same area with jackroad. Also grab a moonwatch saphire back in jackroad 389,000 yen brand new
My point is. Their prices are fair. If you really look. Dont go for the ridiculous mark up price for certain models. And i rather paid them for the japanese customer services than go to hk or singapore for a crap buying experience Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
