The DD II YG market is very interesting and having owned several over the years the white dial with the Romans is the one. All of the dials are nice but it really comes down to the condition of the watch. There are a lot of watches out there without warranty papers but depending on the age it is less important.

None. Wish they had a traditional silver dial. Not a fan of roman numerals nor the diagonal dials.

I’ve talked to a few sellers about this in the past, they’ve all said basically the same thing...the silver or champagne are the best sellers, in stick or roman. I’ve had the silver & champagne in Roman and stick. The silver motif is the one I’ve stuck with, but all are beautiful! When choosing a dial for the 228238, it’s just personal preference, there’s no wrong answer to this question....all are outstanding!

Traditionally I saw mostly champagne coloured dials however on the forum I see a lot of white dials. In person and in the AD I have seen a lot of black dials.

All are equally stunning

of the choices provided, Champagne (stick markers) but I prefer Diamonds on my DD dial.

This is the best dial for a 228238 imho. Its like a chameleon in different lighting.

You missed my favorite OP, Black with Roman Dial 41mm. I’m looking at one of these in WG. They’re rare, only 2 on chrono24 in the US

Beautiful watch - wear it in good health!

I have been thinking about that one as well as the rose gold with sundust romans and the yellow gold with the similar white dial. Did you consider either of those and if so, what made you choose rose gold and white?

@jd57

Thank you. Yes, I considered all those options. Everose is not as flashy that’s why I like it. I like the white dial because of its classic look and it’s easy to read. Ive tried on many configurations of the dd40. I wasn’t eyeing the white dial at first. But when I tried it on, I knew it was the one.

I saw a white dial romans on the WG model and jumped all over it. I love the white dial on yellow or white gold.
