Has anyone ever sent in a laser welded bracelet to RSC?

If so, what happened? Did they keep it and tell you to buy new bracelet or not notice?

Sorry should have been a little more descriptive. A bracelet that has been to, for example, Michael Young, to fix stretch and material has been added to the bracelet.

I have read that you can't tell from a visual inspection if material has been added to a case but wondering on bracelet. This would most certainly void the warranty on a newer watch but wondering with Rolex's ever tightening restrictions on what can and can't be serviced on out of warranty watches if this is an issue.

If you think it could be an issue just send the watch head only.

Rolex will not tell you that you have to buy a new bracelet just because you repaired your old one.

They can't keep it, it's your property and not a counterfeit.

Thanks for replies, as I have been reading up, you both have taught me quite a bit from your old posts...

RSC said that can send in head but if watch is new enough they will request bracelet, asked what age that is and they said up to the watchmaker...

AD has said they won't look at it to send in without bracelet, which I think is silly. They did say the rules are changing very quickly. Which led to my call to sidestep AD.

I agree, on same call with RSC, the rep said that if they deem the bracelet unrepairable, they will keep old one and replace with new AND if you don't accept that, will not do partial service on watch itself. Ugh.

They are making it difficult, I suppose the other option is to skirt RSC all together and just go to trusted Rolex watchmaker.

This is all nonsense.. Rolex will service any authentic Rolex watch. They do not repair bracelets, they simply refinish it cosmetically. I have never heard of Rolex confiscating anybody's authentic bracelet and force them to buy a new one.... ever.

If you are concerned, put your watch head on a leather strap and send it in.

Sounds like you are talking to an AD... Skip them, send it into the RSC yourself.

I’ve sent different watches into RSC without any straps or bracelets and they accepted them. Just indicated on the acknowledgment slip that they received head only.
