Heads Up to DD40 owners

Hi all,

Over the last couple of days I have made a couple of "Tongue in Cheek" threads about my waiting for something.

I have had several PM's and also comments that people did not know that a 1.25 (1&1/4) link is available for your bracelet.

It is, as I got one yesterday.

It made all the difference to the fit of my DD on my wrist.

ADS's don't seem to know its available and some say its a 1/2 link. There is NO 1/2 link available.

Hope this helps some of you.

It's true there is a 1.25 link.

I never believe what the AD says. The collective forum here is way more knowledgeable if you want answers.

I believe it’s also called a grand link. I needed one when I had my
DD40.

Most of the AD's have no idea about it. I had to tell the sales man to get the booklet where all the bracelet part numbers are mentioned that's how I got it.

All 3 of my local AD’s say they didn't have any parts manual that showed the part I wanted.
I am not sure thats strictly accurate ... Possibly they just could not be bothered with such a “small” nuisance sale.

It does..It looks like a normal catalog for watches with different pictures (not sure of the 1.25link) that's how we figured it out and placed an order.

I know the parts catalogue has the links shown My local Rolex trained and authorised watchmaker has the parts book. It looks similar to the Rolex larger brochure showing models and dials

It does indeed exist, and correct that most AD's are probably not going to know of its existence.

My former AD was eager to learn, though, and they ordered this for me. As the OP stated, it has made all the difference in the fit.

Just got one few weeks back from RSC Beverly Hills is someone in LA area need one ask for Vema there she is the manager... extremely helpful and got 2 for me within a little over week which I was not expecting especially she never gave me confirmation number or asked for payment just said she will call me once has revived it.. on practical note without the Grand link the watch was essentially non wearable for me... extremely tight or way to loose.. now it’s a perfect fit..

Wow so a brand new DD40 won't fit a wrist of even 7 inches? Pretty lame by Rolex and smacks of a cash grab to me. My 18238 with full links (zero stretch) could accommodate a 7.5 in wrist out of the box, as do all my other Rolexes.

It should fit 7.5" wrists, the "grand link" is just for somebody with an odd size and can't get the perfect fit.
