May I join the community, please?

Picked up my first Rolex piece yesterday, an OP39, Rhodium dial. Would post a picture, but they're too big. I've tried to compress them, with no success.

Congrats.
welcome to the community.
But Did you really get a Rolex .... We can't tell because of no picture.
Try using an iPhone and emailing it to yourself but choose a small version to send. That'll help you a lot.

Why would someone lie about something like this to a world of strangers he won’t ever meet?

It’s called (somewhat “tongue-in-cheek”) pics or it didn’t happen. I’m sure that post was meant as humor...

It is NOT a case of telling a lie.

It was encouragement to show a picture.

If filsgreen feels I have been rude I most sincerely apologise as no offence was intended at all.

We all like to see the new purchases made by each other.

Guess I took your words too literally!

Miscommunications happen Everyday, no harm done to anyone hopefully.

So that’s a beautiful watch and now I shall wear mine tomorrow!

Grats, I have the Rhodium 39 as well, it’s a beauty. My first too.

Can be hard to see the hands under poor lighting though, but that’s probably just me.

I use the app and it’s really easy to post pics.

Compressing the file won’t reduce its pixel size (I am guessing your photo exceeds the max pixel width and/or height).

So try resizing to something like 780px In both width and height.

On a Mac, the Preview App will do it - in Windows, the Paint App is easiest to do it.

Thanks for posting this as I have had some difficulty posting pics sometimes but now I know where and how to reduce the file next time.

No offence taken, Charles. I've been around forums long enough to know we want, no, we need pics.

Huge congrats, it's a great looking, understated piece. The dark rhodium was my first choice, too, but I never saw one at my AD. I ended up purchasing the blue version, which I'm very happy with. The 39mm OP models are easy-going, low-profile, fun, formidable, versatile pieces that fit a variety of lifestyles and situations. Hope you enjoy yours! -Rick.
