Please Help

Hello Everyone,

I hope that I can pick your brain about a potential trade I might make. I have been offered a SS Daytona 116520 for my 2019 black face SS Sub date and 2018 SS 41mm Datejust blue face oyster band (non fluted). Is this a good trade?

You have two great watches which covers sports and formal occasions. And, trade these two for a Daytona? I would not do it.

Don’t do it. Hold on to what you have.

Value wise you will be losing out. What year/ condition is the daytona?

Since you are asking, I would not.
As for you? It depends do you really want the Daytona so bad or do you just want a hot watch? What you have are two iconic watches already that cover both weekday / formal and weekend / sports.

- Keep the SS Sub Date
- sell the SS 41mm DateJust
Add some cash and buy the SS Daytona

With a DJ and a sub you are set for life - unless you one day want gold, in which case a DD will have your name on it for a truly iconic trio.

Can be bigger price valuations of 116520s. Some earlier may be due for a service, some newer still under 5 year warranty. Those would play into value of the deal but I’d rather add later. Sub Date + Daytona is an unbeatable pair imo add a DJ and there you go for all bases.

Nice Daytona!!! I see your dilemma...

Keep Sub, buy the Daytona and ditch the DJ!!!

Daytona is nice, but it definitely has its limitations (legibility, excessive shine). You have a great two watch combo there and the blue dial DJ is about my most preferred dial.

No. And listen man: don't sell anything, especially your "modern classic" DJ41. It represents the upgraded movement. You'll take a cash hit if sold but way more important is the fact I'd never trade 2 for 1 unless the circumstances clearly were in my favor. In my opinion this deal is *not* in your best interest.

On the other hand, they're your watches so do what you please.
