Can’t help but notice 15 plus new Pepsi’s on jubilee on the first 5 pages of the sale pages, yet, of course I can’t get one from my ad for years even though I bought 40k of watches from them in the past 2 years. I know this has been discussed many times, but something just doesn’t add up.

I have excellent relationship with my AD and I still can’t get the Pepsi or the Daytona. But, it has only been six months since I have asked him for a Pepsi. So, let’s see how long I have to wait for it...

Only time will tell if the Rolex SS shortage will ever end ... I personally think that we are all in some kind of denials accepting the fact that the grey market prices are the Real market prices ... I think Rolex knows that and they are making it up the difference in other ways from dealers (with the other models) and dealers are able to move stock efficiently in conjunction with the grey dealers ... everybody I think in this chain of distribution is happy except us the old Rolex fans ... ridiculous waiting lists ... frustration ... so seeing this myself I decided to consolidate my collection and go for a GMT Pepsi ... yes I pulled the trigger and I am enjoying my watch tremendously ... my 2c only ... thank you for reading

40k in 2 years is peanuts in the watch world. You need to be spending 100k plus per year to even be close to VIP. And that 100k isn't all on hot watches, they want you to buy window watches and jewelry ideally. Dont forget they can sell the hot stock all day every day to anyone who walks in. The platinum daydate sat in the window is a different story, buy that and you'll have a chance of a pepsi......if you're a good negotiator and they like you.

My AD's salesman said he likes talking to me because it's "a breath of fresh air" to hear the "more knowledgeable" and "highly technical questions" that I ask.

I got mine last October, so just a few months after release. The white Daytona on the other hand, I'm still waiting on after 2 years! The Pepsi doesn't look to be as rare as the Daytona.

Sad state of affairs. BLROs on the secondary market at crazy mark up, 'none' at ADs. It doesn't add up but that is the name of the game right now. One I am not playing. A Rolex is a Rolex, I don't have to have the hottest piece to be happy. Many references to choose from that are not impossible to obtain or ridiculously priced.

Had a meeting at work yesterday and one of the directors of a contractor we employed was wearing a Pepsi BLRO. I was wearing my Oyster BLNR. I had a chat with him after the meeting about it.. I asked how on Earth he managed to get hold of it? He didn’t need to say it outright but he is a VIP In his local AD. Fair play

However, upon closer inspection as it was the first time I’d handled a BLRO in the flesh, in my opinion it is overhyped. My BLNR oyster just popped more and looked better. The colours and the jubilee just didn’t pop like it does in photos, it didn’t excite me... don’t get me wrong, I’m the kind of person who loves what they can’t/don’t have so would be more inclined to like it.., but in all fairness I’m so thankful I have the BLNR and would never ever consider trading it for the BLRO if an opportunity ever arose (which it wouldn’t, as the BLRO is hotter)

I would NOT consider paying more than MSRP for the BLRO. In fact I don’t really get excited by it at all to even pay MSRP

In all fairness i think BLNR is the most over hyped Rolex period. I turned it down on multiple occasions at MSRP. Would much rather wear a DJ 36 over it.
