Aged or Battle Scar 216570 Explorer II photos?
I'm looking for photo's of the oldest, battle scar scratch/dented 216570 Explorer II on TRF. I'm getting close to pulling the trigger on a Black Dial 216570 Explorer II, just want to see what it'll look like in a several years.

Mine is in for service right now, but will post pics when it's back.
It's my daily beater - I love the thing, honestly. It mows the lawn, trims hedges, snow blows, and changes diapers with me. When I brought it in for service, I was hell bent on getting it polished and cleaned up at RSC - and the gentleman at my AD talked me out of it, as this watch specifically is meant to take a beating and I plan on owning it for life. I hope it's back within the week! |

Ha Ha just got mine back from service a month ago. No before pics. Did have it polished while at service. I can say it took a beating. Needed a new crystal and had plenty of scratches but still looked great. I figure a polish during service after 7 years of wear doesn't hurt.

Doubt you’ll see much wear and tear on these as it’s a tough old watch. Had the polar for 5 years and it’s been a regular wear. There are a few marks and scuffs but only on close inspection can you see them. It has a small ding on the bezel at 12 when a hammer dropped and hit my wrist. Just got the black a few days ago and from afar the only difference is that it’s less shiny more duller if that makes any sense. Great watch that will last a life time or active wear. Mine got beat up quite a bit and will try and find a pic. My biggest complaint is the SS ended up looking like hell no matter what I used to clean it. Black tarnish and watch looked like ass. Ended up selling it because I couldn’t stand it anymore. Especially for how much it cost. Pretty disappointing IMHO. The watch does terrible with patina.

Never cleaned mine other than the shower, sea or pool. Personally I love patina / worn in look. It’s character building. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I loved the patina but the SS was stained. Strangest thing ever. Super hard to explain.
