Bluesy: surely JJ will like to read this one.
I went to visit my good friend and AD dealer yesterday, just to say hi, and to show him that I was wearing my brand new SD, I had bought from them just a few days ago.
We talked about Subs, as they know about my long time love affair with this model. Also made some comparisons between the Sub and the new SD I was wearing. Just by chance, I mentioned the TT Sub, and I said that though I love the traditional look of the classic Sub, full SS and black bezel and dial, I considered the TT was a beautiful watch, and the blue color of its dial, just incredible. My friend told me: "Wait a minute, Iīll show you something". He then moved back into his big safe box, and look among several boxes before taking one of them. He put it on the counter, and carefully begun to unpack the white card sleeve, then the light cream box with the well known crown symbol, and finally the green box inside. Then he asked me to open the green box myself. Wouu! There it was inside!: a shining brand new Bluesy, its gold center links and bezel border playing with the bright light from the little quartz lamps. What a view!! It really is the prettiest Submarine version among all! Not so "goldie" like the full gold version, just the exact amount of gold contrasting with the brushed steel of its case, and bracelet. Sporty and Very classy and elegant at the same time! And the blue color of its dial, is simply Fantastic! You canīt believe how Rolex came to reach this deep blue shade which changes as light plays on its surface. Oh friends, I fell in love with this Bluesy Sub! I had seen it many times in showcases, but never had the opportunity of having it in my hands, much less trying it on my wrist. Unfortunately, my pockets are depleted after the last purchases I already shared with this Forum (SD, DSSD and 14o60m) so I thanked my friend and his offering to me, but had to pass this opportunity, and write the name of this TT Sub in my wish list, for a future purchase. Now I can completely understand you JJ! Thatīs a Great Watch indeed! Well, I will enjoy the photos of my fellow TRF members who happen to own a Bluesy in he meantime!! Just wanted to share these impressions with all of you fortunate owners!! Enjoy your TT Subs in good health!! Kind regards, Abel

TT Bluesy is one of the best looking watches in the line. That you're enamored with it isn't a surprise to me. They sell a ton of them.
So it's at the top of your list. You should be able to get one for another year or two. Maybe you'll even like the new ones, provided the blue as applied in ceramic is just as appealing to you. If not, act fast when the news ones start filling the cases. |

I was at work!!
Well, Abel....what can I say? Thanks for the compliments to Bluesy. Yes, indeed.....it is the most beautiful shade of BLUE out there and sadly, Rolex have refused to replicate that same shade on its newer WG and YG models. I think I'll stick with the original Cobalt Blue found exclusively on BLUESY! JJ

Yes its perfect the blue on ol bluesy, and JJ is a class act to have the chance to own such perfectioon. But truth be said, a half gold , half stainless. it just seems odd, ,like JAck clugman and tony randal as the odd couple.
Please oh please someone post a fine pix of a full 18ky yg Sub with that wonderfull full perfion blue dial and bezel. That is a match made in heaven. and my grail. |
