steel sub now or later?

Hi folks,

I am looking for a steel sub.
I've checked a couple of rolex stores in LA,NY,VA... but it seems almost impossible to get a new one now.

Should I wait? or consider 2nd hand?

Check out the for sale site here.....you will find a few, I suggest buying now, with the Wilsdorf clan being hot, prices are only gonna go up.

If it’s going to be your only watch, second hand as second hand prices aren’t ridiculous. Otherwise, you would have to buy other watches and/or jewelry from those stores in order to be actually considered for one.

If it’s a grail keeper there’s no harm in going pre owned from a trusted dealer here.

One is listed for $11690usd, pre owned. They sell for $8550usd new. That’s quite a mark up to many people. Nothing against the seller or price, just the market were in demands hefty mark up (in my humble opinion) and no you don’t have to buy anything else necessarily. I got one at an AD no bundles and no relationship. Just ordered and waited a few months.

Will probably be updated with new movement next year, so if you can wait and you are interested in the longer power reserve then don't buy right now.

You can get a No date within 4 months usuallyy.

A Sub date takes probably upto a year.

Do you want one now or later ?

That will tell you if you should buy now (Grey) or later (AD)

They are in real demandnd and there is a shortage.

They really are iconic and fabulous to wear.

Good luck finding one unless you're a favorite customer of an AD. Just having the cash isn't enough to buy a rolex anymore.

Buy now and enjoy now. Call and stop by everyday AD in your area before you go gray.

Look at our Trusted Sellers and find the watch you want. You will pay a slight premium as opposed to an AD but you can not get one through an AD without a significant wait. By the time you pay the tax for the AD the remaining money is worth not dealing with the aggravation. Go get your watch, wear it and enjoy it.

Get a 16610. They can be had at an exceptional price, right now, far more balanced that the giant lug subs now, less showy as well, and the last bond Rolex.

Either second hand or new it doesn’t matter. Just make sure you get one by October. Later you shall have to pay a premium on top of current market price. As majority of folks will start recognising that 2019 is the last year current Sub is in production.

I've just picked up a 20 year old like new 16610 for £5800, to add to my ceramic collection of various pieces. It's fantastic and I would highly recommend
