116610(subC) too small?
A lot of people are posting this recently! I’m curious to know the AGES of people who think this watch is small? THANKS IN ADVANCE for the opinions.

IMHO its mostly those that have been stereo typed into thinking that bigger heavier is always better.

Not small but proportional to me. A 40 mm Rolex is the floor for size for me.

I'm 38 and I think it's absolutely perfect on my 6.3" wrist.

When people say too small, 99% of them mean not noticeable enough. Many pay the premium and want folks to know it’s a Rolex. To some degree Rolex knows this and that’s why they moved to the excessively thick lugs and shiny ceramic bezels, more noticeable but little functional improvement.

Go for an SD50 if a Sub is "too small". Personally, I like the Sub as it is.

The aluminum bezel inserts aren't matte. They also are quite shiny. The lugs are thicker, yes, giving more of an appearance of size. But, that's also in keeping with the sporty nature of the watch, the historical proportions of early models and worry-free long-term ownership (more can be polished). |

Good thing we have choices. SD43 (sd50) is literally the XL version of a sub c date (with a few other cool features of course)
I had a sub c date but traded it for the SD43 because my 8.5” wrist was begging for it. It’s not an age thing as a sub c looks large on my brother’s wrist because he is much smaller. |

I have a 16610 and I see my brothers BLNR often and he even lets me wear it. Believe me, it’s far far shiner almost mirror like. That ceramic reflects light and changes appearance to a silvery tone. Is far more noticeable especially given the wide lugs on the wrist. Nothing wrong with that if that your bag. I do agree though an added benefit is that one can have those things polished often and never have to worry. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

116610(subC) too small?
The 116610 LN with the supercase/thicker lugs is not a small watch. It wears bigger then a GMT Master II ceramic and is regarded by many to be sluggish compared to the pre-ceramic sub 16610.

It’s slightly an age thing and also a look some like. My wrists are small but my body isn’t so a 43 might just be perfect. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I’m 6’4 260 lbs with smallish wrists and I think the DJ36 is perfect a perfect size... as is my Pelagos. I think people worry way too much about a watch being “too small”. |

It’s all preference. Some like a 2 door coupe, some like the 4 door Porsche :). A watch can vary from person to person also. I this the DJ36 fluted also appears bigger than the smooth bezel also. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I'm 32 and if anything I find the SubC too clunky due to the case shape more than the size.

Too small you say! Perhaps you might prefer one of those big honking Invictas. Can get it at any mall and save yourself thousands of dollars
