Question on reserve and first come first serve basis

I understand that certain country like in singapore, they practice reserve those hot model for their Vip Or super Vip,
certain country like in china, they practice must buy those non popular model in order to buy those hot spot model.
there is also country like japan, who work on first come first serve basis. you see first, you grab first. no T&C

Anyone knows other than japan, which other countries practice first come first serve basis?

Some smaller ADs operate that way here in Canada.

Unfortunately, the VIPs usually get tipped off first, so practically you end up with the same result

I don't think it's a difference between countries, but a difference between ADs. In the same country you will see all the different ways of handling the high demand models. You can see ADs that keep a list for the hot models (which VIPs at the top), ADs that require you buy a less desirable model at the same time ("bundling"), and ADs that practice "first come, first serve".

i dont know why any AD would.... treating everyone equal when not everyone is equal is weird.

It is what it is, but in pretty much any business the most important customers of that business are the most important to keep happy

these watches sell themselves so it does no good to give it to a one off purchaser because he was first over an established customer who spends six figures a year there.

its a capitalist system and customers are not all on the same level. it sucks sometimes but i totally understand why it is that way. Someone always spends more. I would run my business the same way
