Grey selling YG Blue Sub 116618LB as below retail

Saw a reputable grey seller in my country selling the YG Blue dial Sub below retail price.

Retail here is SGD 45,990 but he is selling at SGD 39,700.

Any idea why? I thought it is almost impossoble to get below retail for sports models?

Only the SS subs go for a resale premium, not the two tones or PMs.

I don't know your market, but that sounds about right. People aren't generally paying retail for precious metal watches (yet). In the U.S. I'd expect to pay $29,000-ish from one of the usual established sellers for full kit and warranty on a $34,000 MSRP yellow gold sub.

Ah ok, at least this is consistent. Really tempted to get YG but recently got a CHNR TT.

Maybe can sell this off to fund for the YG

Personally, I have encountered something very unpleasant. Avoid them.

TTs are going at a really slight premium, oysterflex models seem rare everywhere, even at greys it seems.

I remember the days of close to a 30% discount for grey market full gold Subs. Incredible that some among us now get excited enough to post about an apparent 13.5% discount and have to ask around as to its authenticity, while receiving responses telling him to buy it immediately. Gold Rolex sports models will drop without a doubt, and while it may not hit 30% discounts again, it'll hit at least 20%. Buy the watch if you want, but if you don't love it, don't feel compelled to buy it due to price. It'll eventually be available for less (assuming there isn't a significant overall price increase that Rolex announces).
