Icon10 My first Rolex, success search

Have been looking for a Milgauss in blue, after getting no support from local dealers in Houston, started looking globally, 6 months of search in Berlin, Dublin, Glasgow and Oslo, finally bought in Zurich, 3 dealers in town, only 1 had it ready, price 7800 ch, 7250 no tax, form stamped at airport, $7460 plus $180 tax paid at ATL airport when declared. Thnx to everyone in this forum for good info provided.

Did you by chance see any SS sports models? Applaud the persistence.

Crazy, a local AD had one in the case last month. Love that blue dial and orange seconds font.

I've been low-key looking for one of these for a while - not at all aggressively - and yeah, I can testify that these are damn hard to come by.

Grats on the acquisition!

Dealer was Bucherer, no other SS but he mentioned that he gets weekly shipments.
It was a Rolex boutique, very busy customers traffic. Switzerland is not the best place to get a discount but I had the feelings that there were more watches available than other places I saw

Great watch. And getting harder to just bump into. I think the Z-Blue will be a bit of a classic when it goes out of production, although judging from how relatively few are turning up compared to 1-2 years ago, it might as well not be in production!

Sounds like a good excuse to do some traveling. Enjoy the Milgauss. Great history, great watch.

Many thnx

Despite that Switzerland is an expensive place to buy a Rolex a I and declared it upon arrival at USA, my savings was around $+1200 compared to buying it locally w sale tax, I travel often anyway so this search added more fun.
I was really amazed how comfortable it is despite heavy weight, thinking about the next one which will be Air king

My AD told me that they have only received one z-blue this year. They aren’t that many being shipped to the ADs, however I have a feeling if the AD gets it, it may sit in the cases a lot longer than other SS models.

Would have just bought grey as the uplift isn’t that much, and had it instantly and basically new.
