Popeye's chicken shortage leads to a lucky pickup!

I wanted to try their new sandwich that's become all the latest frenzy. Supposedly it beats Chick-Fil-A hands down. Unfortunately, they were out of sandwiches . . . . , well, it turns out that my Rolex AD is just a few blocks down the street, and I decided to stop in and say hello. Turns out they had this beauty in stock! One thing led to another, and . . . .

I really love the matte dial and the phantom hands. Great piece!

Congratulations on a great reference

I’d like to know what the waitlist time is like for the sandwich

That’s an expensive a$$ sandwich you go there! But unexpected surprises are the best.

Fantastic pick up, sorry about the sandwich.
I'm on a list for a black dial too.
Maybe I should travel out of town to find one elsewhere.

Well done! Leave for a chicken sandwich quest, return with an Explorer. The America Dream right there... at least mine.

Good choice, the watch is much healthier than that sandwich

I live down here where Popeyes all started.. I have had a few of these sandwiches. The only difference is the bun has a little sweetener in the bread... Hawaiian rolls, if anyone is familiar with these, is similar

Great watch OP

Great catch. I stop at Wixton’s every other month or so. Guess it’s time to increase the frequency of my visits

Did the Popeyes manager put your name on his list without requiring a deposit?

It is a good sandwich.....but I think Popeyes is using a similar model to Rolex. A chicken joint that cant keep up with chicken sandwich production??? How long till you have to buy a bucket of mild wings to be blessed with the opportunity to buy a sandwich at MSRP??? How long till people are reselling sandwiches for over MSRP with the wrapper removed???

I had a Popeyes Spicy Chicken Sandwich along with red beans and rice and fresh squeezed lemonade this week. The price was less than $8; I feel they could easily charge more since the product is so damn good.

Best fast food chicken sandwich I have ever tasted...leagues better than the typical soggy Chick-filet sandwiches.

Nice pick up!

Very nice watch, congrats! The sandwich doesn’t even compare to Chick-fil-A.
