A scratched dial story
Well, today I bring you all a very sad story about Audemars Piguet. My girlfriend had offered me an incredible tropical dial audemars piguet royal oak. Not just any tropical but a beautiful completely uniform brown dial timepiece. I can't explain you all how much I loved this watch. It's almost shameful to love this much something so small.
I sent it to an official Audemars Piguet service. It's first one in my hands. I have to say I was completely relaxed about it since I had been hearing wonders about AP service and handling. It took about 3 months before I was told to come and pick it up in person. Opening that box it's a moment I think I will never forget. A scratched dial, a very scratched dial. I called AP and have been reading online on what could have caused this and the best reason I can find is that they have installed a new movement and maybe this might have affected the watch? Could it be? What do you guys think? I'm not sure what to expect them to do now. Is there any compensation for them to basically kill my watch? A new dial won't do because nothing replaces perfect tropical so....what now? I paid 2000 euros for the service FYI! |
