So what are we arguing about?

What is the biggest "argument" regarding Rolex watches?

1. Date vs No Date Sub
2. Jubilee vs Oyster bracelet in a DateJust
3. Whether the Daytona is too small on the wrist
4. If we should buy from the grey marker dealers
5. Other

Not so much arguments... more opinions or worse... endless threads and polls with the same questions....

More of a debate to me...but you hit some of the big ones.

Or what color dial Daytona is more ‘popular’....

Simply differences of opinion. That’s not a big deal if you’re a thinking person. But, unfortunately, sometimes there tends to be inflammatory comments and folks personalize their disagreements when it’s really not necessary.

No arguing here. Any idiot (well this idiot) knows its :

1. No Date
2. Jubilee
3. No it isn't
4. Up to the individual
5. Yes Rolex know what they are doing with their inventory.

What about, "HELP! I got the tiniest hairline scratch on the clasp. What should I do now?!?!"

A) Send it back to RSC
B) Live with it
C) Get a Jool Tool

For the vintage folks:

What constitutes “vintage”?
Aftermarket vs. fake

My penny's worth

1) Date preferably but wearing an Explorer & not bothered at all.

2) Oyster

3) No it's fine.

4) Yes we should. Supply & demand and why wait?

My views

1. No date Sub
2. Jubilee - just bought one and very happy
3. Speedmaster - better watch
4. AD with some patience in order to stop the grey
5. GMT - Batman or Pepsi, Pepsi for me

2. Why do people insist in giving the new BLNR a girly superhero name?
3. Whether to buy any SS watch you stumble across and flip for a quick profit or leave for someone who might actually want it.
4. How come Grey stock levels are rising every day when Rolex is "deliberately reducing supply"?

You also have the meta argument of 2-Liner v 4-Liner (COSC) on the Submariner, as well as arguments over whether it’s ok to call it a “No Date” rather than just a Submariner.

Seems to me this one is:

AD vs. grey dealer

Folks seems to argue either side, and sometimes both... this hobby used to be about enjoining watches. Now it's about who got what at what price..... :-(

Whether or not the shortage is real

Is the Daytona’s dial legible enough?

Apparently whether or not certain professional models are really professional models and whether there are non-sports professional models (not naming names).

Which Rolex is the best investment? The one I can’t get or the other one I can’t get?

Is there a such thing as a waitlist?

Which model is the best investment?

Is there a bubble? If so, is it like tulips or baseball cards?

Is this too big for my wrist?
