Datejust II to Datejust 41 (not an opinion thread)
I posted a couple months ago about making this move with my local AD. I know everyone has their opinion on which they like better but the 41 just fits my wrist better. For anyone interested I did attach a pic of the II & 41 from the side where you can really tell the difference in case size.
A few people asked how long it took for my AD to get one in since it was not in stock. I ordered June 8th and it came in September 10th. No discount on this watch as they said Rolex is cracking down (I got 10% and no tax on my first purchase). They did however provide with me a Rolex bear for my son who was born earlier this year and who will eventually get the 41. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Do you have any other pictures of the two together?

Congratulations. And that makes sense as 41 is better proportioned IMO. What dial did you end up getting?

Congrats on your new DJ41. Thanks for sharing the pic of the sides. I didn't know they were different thicknesses.

I tried both and it was a quick easy decision! The DJ41 is the way to go!

Haha too many DJ II vs DJ 41 threads already where everyone has expressed their opinion. It was more to let people know the timing of how long it took for the watch to come and to show off the bear :)

Congratulations on the purchase , but if you own both pieces then measure them with your calipers and you will understand that you are comparing apples to oranges. The DJII is 41mm case, while the DJ41 is 38.8mm. It's a smaller watch and the proportion looks different because it is indeed a different size case. I have owned both and prefer DJII because my wrist size is larger.

Congrats! Happy to hear you are more confident in your like for the 41 over the II having them side by side. To me, it does the opposite, I could get into a II but a 41 is too thin and your pic only confirms that for me!

Well, rules be damned. IN MY OPINION you bought a great watch.
Now what happens? I get beat up in the parking lot or something? Lol. Wear it in good health Bud. Sent from my SM-A520W using Tapatalk |

Any one know What the case height difference is in mm? (Eg 11.5mm vs 12mm). Or is it the same with a different lug taper?

I didn’t get any other great pics. They were closing and I wasn’t trying to make them stay late. Below is a pic I took before ordering the 41 compared to my II which shows a good difference in size and fit. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Blue Azzurro Roman. I’ve noticed that the blue is slightly more royal blue where the II was slightly duller but very very similar in most lighting. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Congrats!
I tried twice to like the DJII and it didn't work. I've had the 41 now for a while and really enjoy wearing. I'm sure you'll love it

For me and my 7.5" wrist I prefer the beefier II, but love that 41 as well. Purely comes down to fit for me. The 41's are awesome and love that they offer a jubilee option. Are the bracelets the same width? The II bracelet looks wider in that pic but I thought they were the same? |
