Is this forum same as the Rolex forum in Facebook?

I joined the forum in FB and removed myself after one day.

I don't understand why people need Facebook to begin with. You are just potentially opening your personal information.

is there a reason why you removed yourself? I don't understand the purpose of your message.

I don't do facebook, either, and I've never heard anyone here suggest that there is a facebook component of TRF.

Exactly and now many of these so called social media sites are now becoming very anti-social sites. You can stick all these so called social media sites up where the sun dont shine. Although I sometimes wonder in especially the Rolex watch forum is getting like facebook with some of the posts lately there..

I too joined the FB group and lasted less than one day before I unjoined. It felt like lunch in the cafeteria in 6th grade.

To the ops question, I do not believe there is any affiliation with this forum.

Get off my yard etc etc.

Like most social media, Facebook can be used for a variety of purposes, from at one end of the spectrum keeping in touch with close friends many of whom may live in different parts of the world meaning face to faces aren't often possible, right through to outright narcissism, exhibitionism and attention seeking.

It's simply a tool. Tools are not intrinsically bad, but they can be misused.

I thought that was the point of that data mining and data selling website?

You are on the right track however if you use google and a cellphone, Facebook is just one of many concerns regarding privacy.

The good news is, it is too late to get your information back so you might as well move on. Even an act of Congress could not put this horse back in the barn.
