Need help with this Tudor.

I came across this watch today. The salmon dial and bezel/case (looks very similar to Daytona) caught my eye. I don’t know much about this model and my main question is: is the dial originally manufactured in this color or is it a discoloration/patina? Seller is asking $2500 no box, no papers. Seems reasonable but I’m not familiar with these Tudor models. Any help is appreciated.

I'm not super familiar with these later Tigers but I believe it is a legit dial

What you have there is a early Tiger Woods Tudor 79280, yes that is the original salmon dial, it was always that colour. That's also the original 78400 oyster strap. Circa 2000.
Not a bad price for the watch, the panda and reverse panda dials are the most sought after on the 79260, which is the black tachymetre model. They are incredible watches and well worth the money. 7750 movement. If you like it, then get it.

You’re an expert. Thank you for such a detailed response. Seems like salmon is a rare dial option. I’ve only come across a few photos on the internet. One more question, are the bezel and pushers same as the Daytona 116520? I ask because I own the 116520 and bezel looks like the same thing. The case looks similar but I suspect it’s thicker on the Tudor.

The case is different to the 116520 as the 792XX series watch fits the Valjoux 7750 movement which is a bit thicker than the Rolex built movement. The Salmon is a rare dial although they are findable and do show up and don't sell for a premium, these Tudors came in many different colours and three bezel options so there are plenty of options. The 78400 strap is IMO the best and only came on the early models. The sunburst dials are awesome, have a lot more life than some of the white and black dials of recent models. I wouldn't worry about the papers, you can always send it to RSC. Plenty of other amazing variations of this watch. Check out the 79260 with panda and reverse panda dials. They are my favourite, but I do love the 6263 Daytonas that are very similar.

The tiger watches r probably the most undervalued Tudor/ Rolex. U r gonna love it. The price is very reasonable. Here is the wrist shot to convince u.

I blame it on autoconnect.
